FB Notifications

Hi all,


I noticed today that a giveaway I entered on FB (Commenting on a post) had tagged me in the comments of the original post advising that I had won. I didn't receive a notification though and everything I've checked on my settings seems to be OK as far as I can see.


Any ideas as to why this wouldn't give me a notification ?.

Sorry to hear this. Sadly that is the wonderful Facebook for you. This also happens to me on a few occasions where I have been tagged in a post (not for comp wins). Getting email notifications is a hit and miss.

Can you contact the Company and explain that you never received any notification?

Same here, it happen to me on 2 occasions now, good job I went through my activity log and checked the posts, which is what I do now as well. First time I was about 1 month late and the company was really good and allowed me to claim my prize.

Went through my settings and everything is as it should be, so no idea as to why it happens?

How exactly do you find out if you have had a win on facebook or twitter?

Remember to check your Spam and Others folders under Messages. Chances are it'll be in there...

There are a couple of FB groups I've recently joined which list comp winners who haven't actually been tagged - sometimes they just mention your name. It's very handy (not that my name's appeared on either yet!).
