I think its just cos I live alone I always feel wary about that, dont know why really :o:o

When I sold my car on ebay I made sure Paul was here too... you just never know! You can borrow him... if you promise to keep him lol

Benben just a thought re ebay- could you give your Mum & Dad's address for collection now that they live quite near you.? Or arrange for one of them to be with you if you give the buyer yours ?

yeah thats a good point tigz, you do have to offer paypal now as a form of payment. I have sold my cooker and treadmill on there before but that was before that rule came in, so they paid cash on collection.
Think I might nip over to the ebay board and see what advice they have there ;) Then again, like you, Im knackered tonight so may go to bed instead and look into it tomorrow :D Night all x

I've done quite a few transactions (both sales and purchases) with collection and everyone has always been really nice - am sure there are dodgy folk but most are absolutely fine. You can always get them to sign a receipt for the goods. I certainly would if they paid by paypal.

    Good luck!

Yep, think I will go for it, shames I hadn't decided yesterday then I could have got half-price listing fees  Now I need to decide how long to put it on for, I reckon either a one day listing or a 3 day as there are quite a few on there and if I do a 7 / 10 day the shops may have loads in again by then ?? :D Or I could do a 1 day buy-it-now? And do I sell it all together or the console and the fit separately?? Aaaaagh so many decisions!! :D:D

Tigz ... thanks for the offer! I think I will get my Mum to come round when they come to collect, thats what I did with my cooker, I couldnt give out their address as she's dead wary of the internet and wouldn't want people going round to hers :o

  • Hi Benben I'm just popping in to say I'm still reading and as usual you are doing really well and are very motivated. I'm glad DS seems to have turned a corner at school now, sounds like it really was all settling in/attachment problems and they are resolved so thats a great relief I can tell.

I'm glad your mum has moved near you, that should be good for you and I am was thinking they must be so proud of you. They have obviously seen you go through alot after the break up with DS dad but you seem to have dusted yourself off and put a positive spin on it all and they don't have to worry about you financially as you are so savvy on that front.

    Take care

Thankyou KM, everything does seem to have settled down now and I am happy with 99% of my life, a few bits I still need to change but on the whole its good :D:D

Its payday today so I can figure out the money for June and start doing new financial stuff for the new month ;):D I've got to post the ebay parcel from yesterday once I've bought some more brown paper. Nothing much else planned yet, we may go to the softplay centre as I still have a free ticket for today or I may try and catch up with my sister as I haven't seen much of her this week.

Have you listed it yet? Good luck with it.

My last day here... thank god!! My boss didn't give me a glowing reference so I'm feeling a little hurt and let down. I can't say anything tho as I'm not meant to have seen it... :o Thankfully my new employer doesn't seem to have a problem with it, although it does make me out to me not very good

Just shows you made the right decision to get away from him then Tigz ;) and at least if they don't have high expectations of you then it gives you a great opportunity to impress when they see what you really can do :D:D Roll on Monday !!! :D:D

True... but I also feel that I'm starting under a cloud and I have to prove myself now.
