I found €9 in my paypal account I'd forgotten about, so that chucked into the mortgage pot is just enough to tip it over into another month  So the new end date for my mortgage currently stands at July 2030 ... only another 11 years 1 month to get it where I want it :o:D But, this does mean that in the last year I have knocked 5 years off my mortgage term :j :j

Right, time to get out of bed  I need a quick shower before I go and se my friend :D[/quote]

WOW Benben - how amazing must that feel, knowing that you have made all that difference to your mortgage in 12 months!!!! - Way to go :T

I just hope I can do the same - you are definately an inspiration....

I got myself a free exercise bike off Gumtree last Thursday. The woman was advertising it for nothing so it cost me the petrol to Box ( about 15 miles away ) to collect it. I've swapped it for one my ex-wife didn't want anymore and it's in a discreet corner of the front room now. Tomorrow I start half an hour a day on it, I'd like to do more but I reckon you have the right idea by taking it steady and doing it consistently....:T

I've managed a no spend day today :j and my tax credits and child benefit went in and it was €27 more than I'd bugeted  so €13 of that will be moved to my bills account so it doesn't go overdrawn this month, and the other €14 will be used on treats in half-term next week :D

Evening all ... today has been a low spend day again, I only spent €1.45 on milk  I have claimed €20 for the focus group I did online last week :j and the money I moved from the mortgage pot into my account last week has cleared today, so I can pay another chunk off the mortgage tomorrow after work :D
Only a couple more days left at work till half-term now ;) I can't wait :D Right, feet up, footie about to kick off and a cup of tea in my hand, heaven :D:D:D

Today has been a no spend day again  and also I went to the bank to pay off the money that was in my mortgage pot, so that is another €635 winging its way to my mortgage account :j :j It always freaks me out a bit when I make an overpayment, its a wierd mixture of pride for achieving it and fear in case I suddenly need the money for something else :o:D

One more day till half-term ;):D I can't wait !! I've got quite a few bits planned now for next week; I've got a couple of mystery shops on saturday, a bbq on monday, helping mum and dad move into their new house on tuesday, a friend coming round for dinner, a few glasses of wine and a sleepover on wednesday, seeing Tigzem on thursday, catching up with a coupe of other friends on friday and then ds will go to his dads at the weekend :D
