Which tooth ?
A lot of it is subjective. It's like choosing a BMW or an Vauxhall. But sometimes there are genuine advantages - whether you are willing to pay for it or not is a different matter.0 -

Aesthetically the ceramic will normally have more "vitality ". That is to say they will allow light to penetrate more easily and take on a more natural appearance. A bonded crown has a metal thimble on to which the porcelain is bonded. To disguise the metal there is an opaque layer which masks the metal which can lead to a less vital more chalky look and also light can not penetrate in the same way. They are both more destructive than a metal crown. The porcelain a little more so but not a lot in it. If a porcelain breaks then normally the whole thing goes. If a porcelain bonded one breaks then the metal is still intact so while not being pretty, the tooth is still covered. As your gum receeds away from the crown then you may see the dark line of the metal. This wont happen with a ceramic porcelain one as there is no metal. Both do a job and its up to you I guess to decide if the pros or cons matter to you.0
