Santander change of address

We have recently advised all our creditors of a change of address by letter and all of them have accepted a letter from us, except Santander who have written to us as the correct address but are saying they wont change the address until we fill in a form which basically asks lots of questions about job, date of birth etc and wanting a signature of my husband as this is his account.
This was a previous loan with Cahoot and was brought out by Santander and I dont feel we should give them all this information as I have provided them with an account number etc.
We are currently saving the fee for my husband to go bankrupt but wont be able to do this for about six months, but also due to my husbands ongoing health issues dont want him to be bothered or worried about this,
Thank you for all your help.

It seems they are fishing for information.
My suggestion is to go to a local branch and bring in paperwork such as any correspondence letters, previous statements, passport, driving licence and a handful of utility bills (with new address on them) with his name on it. Avoid providing them with a payslip or any information which may give away too much information. This should be enough for them to chance the address.
As for the signature, could there be any chance that they do not have the original credit agreement?0 -
Thank you for the reply. Thats what I thought about the letter I will send them another letter with copies of the previous correspondence from them so they can find his loan. The loan was originally from Cahoot and like you say do they have the original credit agreement.
Do you think I should mention in the letter that if they dont accept change of address I will next be asking for a copy of Credit Agreement. I just want to have some time so that we can get ready for husbands bankruptcy and for him not to worry about letters coming through door. All the others have accepted a change of address with a printed signature, would it be a good idea to mention that I wont send original signature.
Thank you again for the great help0
