I sent an email to the company and they replied to me very quickly

I'm sure we all know why companies run competitions... to promote their brand / film / product / whatever it may be. Long may this continue as it is what gives us all these lovely competitions to enter! :beer:

The use of a competition to promote them is hampered if people use secondary social media accounts that have ONLY been set up for the purposes of entering competitions. (Tweets/shares, etc would only have an extremely limited audience of other secondary accounts rather than our real family, friends - other real people who possibly didn't know about them before.)

Also, they mentioned that they have had some difficulties getting in touch with previous competition winners who have not responded to emails and other contact attempts, probably due to the winners not using their secondary accouts unless they are entering another competition.

So the only thing that they meant is for anyone who enters using their social media accounts to please use your own actual accounts rather than accounts set up just for comping. This means the competition has the chance to achieve what it was being run for - to promote what they needed it to

So this website isn't a comper-hater and have nothing against compers. They'd just like to get their site name out there and also be able to get in touch with their winners if you use Opt. 1 Social Shares method to enter!
