Does anyone know where I can find the recipes on how to make the food they make from scratch on the show?
This is one of my favourite shows for a lazy afternoon with a brew. A "feel good" type show that you are better are shopping than a lot of people !
I loved the "taste test" with the squash.. Asda's beat Robinson's !! I find Robinson's too strong/sweet actually.0 -

I'm not sure why you're dragging up old 'Eat well for less' threads - this one is almost a year old.
Have you Googled recipes from the show?0 -

To be fair, apart from those who actually HAVE to budget within an inch of their lives, many are guilty of throwing things in the trolley without thinking.
That could be the lure of packaging, hunger when shopping, or just not thinking and throwing it in.
I am guilty of that on occasion too. I am human, I am normal.
But now that I have retired I find myself thinking about it more, and not buying what I don't need.
Still have a stock of toms, chick peas, tuna, salmon and that kind of thing, very comforting. Portion out bread and freeze (best thing EVER), and things like that.
I have learned now not to waste and buy what I really like, not what I think is pushed at me.
It's a lesson learned over time, it won't happen in a week though!0 -
I'm I the only one that imagined a special over christmas? About fish and chips...That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I love the slogan on some of the trolleys in the new Lidls in Sittingbourne
'Try something you can't pronounce ' I think its great to experiment with something different now and again livens life up no end:):)
