Pension scheme included in base salary

I recently got a job offer stating that the participation in company's stakeholder pension scheme is included in the base salary.
What does that mean? Would I need to sacrifice part of my base salary to contribute to the pension scheme or would my employer do that?

You would need to ask them.
It could be that you need to make a contribution or it could be that they make an employer contribution themselves without you needing to contribute anything.0
