Hi
I was just wondering how people were creating clickable links for their posts.

You just copy and paste the link into your postYes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A0

Go to the Comping Guide
Instructions are in post #7, section 9 (search for "hamper"). There is even a video from mclarkie showing how to do it.
A good place to practice is in one of the comps in "Game Over"0 -

You don't get granted permission as such, it just starts to work when you are allowed - have you tried recently?0 -

Hahah Thanks - I got so used to not being able to I just gave up!!! Now I can post links I bet I don't need/want to post any!! lolDebbie0 -
and if you dont just want a long linky taking up the post write a word 'click' or 'linky' then highlight it and press the little world with a link on it then enter the link
main board here
TBH - as a newbie I did that a few times mrsH, but quickly realised that most people on the boards prefer to actually see what they're clicking - at least the first part of the web address anyway.
IMHO The quickest and easiest way for a newbie to create links would be to not bother with any 'word' but simply click in the new thread box and go straight to the Insert Link iconand then paste your comp link straight in. That also helps for other forum users to instantly see if there is any coding on the end of the link that may tie it to a specific entry/IP address/time/date.

Never used the link icon before, doesn't appear to be any different to just pasting a link direct into the post?0 -

Oh yeah! See, I've learned something new mjm!:rotfl: Either way, still always better to give a complete link rather than just put 'clicky' or 'linky' IMO
