I have spent the last month looking into moving my personal pension and thanks to the generous advice given here, I know more now that I did at the start of the month, but do I know enough?
I have narrowed my options down, but would really appreciate your thoughts and opinions on the AXA Elevate platform. I have read through the old threads on here, where Dunstonh has commented, but they predate recent changes.
Is platform charge ( 0.32%) reasonable?
Would you consider using this platform, either personally or for your clients ?
How do the annual fund manager charges compare with average SIPP cost? ( for some reason, I can't access the Elevate detail online, perhaps as the product is only available to others.
The alternative that I have considered would be for me to transfer to a SIPP, but despite spending a significant amount of time in studying this as an alternative, I don't yet feel confident that I know enough to do this alone.

The cheapest tend to come out around 0.25%. However, the functionality of AXA Elevate tends to be higher than the cheapest (they pre-fund deals, use CHAPS for payments at no cost to you, have whole of market investment access, good electronic system with online transacting and trading etc). I like AXA Elevate. I use several platforms and they are my preferred option but no one platform can fit all. But if someone says they are using Elevate, you typically have no concerns. How do the annual fund manager charges compare with average SIPP cost? They are a full wrap. This means if it is quoted on the LSE or a fund is available, it will be on the platform. They have some superclean funds but for the rest, it will be the clean charge.for some reason, I can't access the Elevate detail online, perhaps as the product is only available to advisers?
it is an adviser platform but you will be able to have your own login. It wont give as much detail as a DIY platform as advised platforms have to restrict what a client can do on a DIY basis. However, it will have enough for most people.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
