Cambridge accommodation for rent - relocation

Looking for a one bedroom flat near Addenbrooke's Hospital. Can anyone suggest areas worth looking at and perhaps more importantly areas to avoid. Looking to be no more than 4 miles from the hospital due to cycling home after a 12 hour shift.

Wish list: Furnished (in good condition), clean with lots of natural light. Does such a thing exist for around £600 or should I estimate more to £700... or more?

No wish for shared accommodation.

Agents charge a fortune, but if it's worth it I'll go with that... on recommendation.

Tell me the good and the bad about Cambridge accommodation.

You will never find a flat in Cambridge for 700 pm A room in a shared house will cost you 500+
You will need to look out in the villages to find something in your price range. Maybe Fulbourn and buy a car? The area around Addenbrookes is very expensive.

A few people I know have bedsit type things for 650 p.c.m. So not a self enclosed flat but either a room with a kitchen in it or a couple of rooms but with shared bathroom etc.
