Please support https://www.change.org/p/george-freeman-freedom-to-complain-against-social-care-without-fear-of-retribution

This is important because:

1. It leaves vulnerable people without care

2. It wastes humongous amounts of tax payers money for the council to have keep sourcing alternative care (social workers time/ care arranging team) which would be better used actually caring for vulnerable people!

I've signed this as I work in social care and I don't agree with the cuts to our clients. I've worked for the NHS, local council and private company and noticen a huge variation in how hours are used. namely in the private sector staff are not given travelling time, and too many people to visit.
Social care has been given a poor reputation due to pay and travelling time, but there are some great companies out there. Unfortunately it's the companies who focus on profit that make the headlines. What does the government expect when they privatise it? It costs about £700 per night to keep someone in hospital, yet less than half that amount will keep someone in there own home with 24 hour care if required...go figure!
