"Where did the river go? is a limited edition storybook commissioned by learndirect for children aged between 5-9. There are only 100,000 available, and we’re giving them away free, so you will have to be quick to get your hands on a copy.

The book was written by Peter Corey, who has written numerous books, TV shows and plays. If you were to meet him, you might also recognise him from TV programmes such as One Foot in the Grave and The Bill.

All illustrations are by Charlotte Firmin, and the book is supported by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

I applied for this voucher at the time, and just got an e-mail offering me another, the offer is still on

It is full of easy to follow puzzles and questions that will help you to involve the kids, talk to them about the characters and spark their imaginations! It will help you to spend even more quality time with the kids and help them to develop the skills they need in both English and maths.

Just used their map to show me the location of my nearest centre (which is in Colchester, Essex).

Map shows somewhere north of Carlisle..........

so don't rely on their map......

Its a great book. My local learn Direct Sheffield said I was the first to collect and they had loads
