Winning phone calls

Hi all, new here! :hello:I've never won a single thing in my whole life, but i've never done 'comping' properly. However since doing a few recently (literally only about 20!) I had a few missed calls from unknown number. Is this just spam calls happening or do winners get contacted this way? I thought they might leave a message if I had won! I am not expecting any wins tho, it's never happened before, i'm one of those unlucky ones I think . Maybe i'm going to win once and win big tho, you never know :rotfl:

If I have a missed call from an unknown number I google it. If it's spam it usually turns up a few results.

I comped for a year and in that year spam phone calls increased from 1-2 a month to 2-5 a day. I only have one number, my mistake for not getting a cheap throw away phone, but I didn't see the point as I'd not take it anywhere with me so would probably miss any calls telling me I'd won anyway.

Thankfully my phone has a number blocking option so I just block them and since I stopped I'm back down to the usual one or two a month.

Had a good few winning phone calls and only one ever left a message and it drove me mad. We were on holiday when it happened so could not do 1471 . I was told I was a winner and a brochure would follow to choose my prize , it never arrived and I have no ides what I lost. My husband took one winning call from Nut magazine re a TV he had won and , as I always instructed , he went overboard in his thanks. The chap eventually asked him if he was OK . I took one call from a man who sounded just like my cousin and I would not believe that chap that I had won some money. He eventually persuaded me it was not a wind up .

I had my first phone call win today from better bathrooms to say i had won a fb comp with them. I always google any numbers i dont recognise and always turn out to be spam, except this call today which thankfully i answered!
