So I'm jsut starting to get ready and hunt for mortgages.
Checked my credit report with equifax noticed i had two late payments in 2012 from O2 telecoms.
Emailed them explaining I'm hunting for mortages and this will effect me and they removed it no questions asked. They said that it was a small amount and have removed the two late payments
Checked key equifax report today and there gone in 24 hours.
Amazing service from them. Fully recommend contacting them if you have a late payment or any other they was more then willing to help.
Does anybody know how to approach late payments with a bank whats the best way as I now want to give it a go with my girlfriends report.
Is it best to email them my girlfriend has two on her report all with AP THIS WAS BACK IM 2010.. it was a natwest credit card. She was not aware at the time it would effect her credit report with AP appearing..
Thank you:beer:

5 year old AP markers are unlikely to have much of an effect anyway.
Bear in mind the bank won't correspond with you about her report so she'll need to send the emails. I would just email them and ask nicely. They're under no obligation to remove the information. Sometimes they'll do so due to bad records.
Halifax removed a 6 month arrangement to pay from my credit report even though I accepted it in writing. I simply asked them to switch it to a default (so it would drop off sooner) but instead they ended up removing it altogether due to having no record of it.What will your verse be?

Wow. I have a couple of late payments to Next (just for £5 each time) that are making my credit report look really bad. I wonder if I could ask for them to be removed? Who did you email? Just to customer services?0

I wrote a letter to the credit reference amendments department at Halifax.
They treated my enquiry as a complaint even though I was simply making a request for them to switch AP markers to a default. They said they had no record of my ever being in an arrangement to pay, paid me some money for the inconvenience and removed the markers altogether.
In my correspondence I referred to the incident which lead to the AP markers being added so they had it in writing from me that I accepted what had happened, but they removed them anyway due to their own bad records.
I would say its always worth asking the question, just remember that they are not obliged to remove anything unless the information has been recorded incorrectly. What will your verse be?
