credit file clean up - banks not acting

Hi,
2 months ago I posted (by recorded delivery) file clean up template letters and copies of bankruptcy/discharge letters to 2 credit card companies who are showing the default date up to 2 years after I was made bankrupt.
I don't have the full credit card number (only the last 4 digits which show on my credit report) but gave them whatever other information I could ie address at time.
Since then I have had 2 further monthly credit checks and there has been no change to the default dates and I have heard nothing back from credit card companies. I assume changes should not take this long so the credit card companies have did nothing.
My question is this, what can I do now to make them show the correct date (my bankruptcy Feb 2009)?
Have been saving hard and keeping all finances and payments in order to attempt to get onto property ladder this year and don't want this creating extra difficulties.
Thank you
