New career path wanted.

Hi all,
I currently have a burning desire to change my career path. I work as a casino manager in the west end of London. The salary for someone with no formal qualifications is not to bad,and I get reasonable perks. My whole working life has been spent in casinos so it is really all I know. My question is this: What careers are there for someone like me?
Im 37 and my skill set is mainly to do with customer focus, conflict resolution, and being able to work well with both staff and customers from every background you can think of. I am also licensed by the Gaming commission to hold such a position which basically means that you are a person of good character.
I understand that I am already in a fortunate position but would just like a change.
Regards to you all.

Personally, I'd look into educational courses that take into account prior experience. You may find you can fast track through a management degree, for instance, based on your work experience.

Also look to joining things like the Chartered Management Institute etc.

Though in the first instance, I'm assuming you could move to other management roles. Perhaps doing your current role abroad is an option too, such as Dubai, on a cruise ship, etc (hell, aim for the sky, perhaps even Vegas etc - often people who are from different countries can be seen as more exotic, so higher weight could be given to their experience etc, than somebody with the same experience from the country the post is advertised in).

I think you could have loads of really good management experience. Is it an individual team management role, or a kind of 'centre' management (venue included) as well? If so you could get into managing events and services, retail management, or customer services team management for example.
Presumably in casino management you'd have to know a lot about rules and regulations or policy so perhaps pursue this kind of area, perhaps in a regulation type role, or assessing standards.

I see many areas that you could move into that your transferable skills could be adapted to with a bit of thought.
