Cutting a floor rug?

When I had my stair carpet fitted, the fitter offered to have some offcuts made into mats with properly finished edges but I can't remember the details of who fitted the carpet (it was 10+ years ago). I now have a rug that is slightly too big and I need several inches whacked off it and the cut end 'finished' ( I assume). Does anyone know of anywhere in the Belfast area that offers such a service, please?

ask in your local carpet shop"Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0

The remnant shop on the ravenhill road does it. I had some off cuts done a while ago, think it's called carpet binding. Was around 50p or 60p a foot. The mats are still 'bound' so it's lasted well.
Bright yellow shop, you can't miss it.0 -

Although I don't know anyone in Belfast area but The rug shop UK has its base and warehouse in Bradford. Contact them as they are very friendly. They will certainly help you in finding one.0

Farrells carpets do it-15quid to have carpet runner bonded that was nearly 9ft long just before xmas. There is also a rug shop in dairy farm shopping centre on stewartstown rd that do it.0
