    Why is there a change that affects existing scheme members? Is the a union?

    Oh, and don't accept at face value a figure returned by HR/ Payroll, obtain information exactly how their claimed figure has been arrived at.

    The figures you provided in the OP suggest that you are paid the same amount each month. That being the case it's a simple calculation for you. Just deduct your normal wage from the total figure you received and see if that matches the amount the company says it wants back.
