Hi
We have a goose down duvet, which has done a good job, but it now appears to be thinning! No fluffing-up of the duvet seems to work any more.
We are surprised, as it is a good make - an investment in the John Lewis brand!
So we sort of assumed, I suppose, that it would last forever! Although I have realised that I have used it for over 14 years. We don't wash it over-much, but enough to keep it clean over the year.
So I am wondering if maybe we should expect it to lose its duvet-ness (!) over time.
i.e. Is this thinning to be expected? i.e. as goose down is an organic product will it shred (invisible to the human eye!) over time, till there is less goose down than there was when it was new?!APennySaved
