Mortgage in principle moron - too many searches

So I've massively messed up on my mortgage search... Last weekend I approached four lenders online for a mortgage in principle (one I approached three times for different amount), which I have today found out are now listed on my credit history as a search. Thanks for your replies. I'm absolutely certain I've not been misled - I've had confirmation from my lenders, Experian and my mortgage broker that the three lenders I mentioned have only done soft searches. It did surprise me, but with all three parties telling me they're not visible I'm willing to take their word for it.
