I'm new to these threads to hopefully I've done this right!
I'm Toffee and I've only just taken out a mortgage. It is for £150000 and I already have a dream to pay it off! There is a part of me that feels this is very premature but then again, the earlier I start my mfw journey, the quicker it will actually happen!
So, figures:
Mortgage - £150000 (interest rate 2.99 fixed for 5 years)
Savings - £625 (am due some money back and after payday this should go up to nearly £2000 - my target is £10000)
As a minimum I plan to overpay by £72 a month and save £200.
Time to get started! :T

I'm hoping my new budgets will help me not waste money. I have a new weekly budget and so far it's going ok, not perfect but I'm happy with the progress!
Today I received conformation of £50 cashback for an item purchased in November which is good. Will take up to 28 days to come through but when it does it will be split between mortgage op and savings. Baby steps!0
