Hi, need some urgent advice as this is really getting to me now!

I entered a dmp with Stepchange 2nd December 2014 and all creditors informed by both myself and Stepchange. All have agreed plan apart from Springcoin who inform me no documentation has been received via Stepchange. Stepchange have written to this company 5 times. I sent an email to Springcoin recently and CC Stepchange into this and requested account number and address for Springcoin. Received email back and Stepchange confirmed this is the address and correct account number Stepchange sent the documentation too.

Springcoin continue to harass me with calls and 2 weeks ago I asked them to stop ringing me. They agreed but calls have started again. Today at 10am?

This creditor is really making me depressed and don't know what to do? They can't tell me they haven't received any documents from Stepchange ?

HELP..........?

  • Well well..........Just got off the phone to Springcoin......Again sorry no documentation received despite being correct address and account number. They also tell me they will continue to call me until payment received. I also informed them payment of £46 was sent Friday via Stepchange and they tell me no money has been received....

    Advice anybody???????????????
  • Call the FOS, explain, get them to complain to springcoin for you.

They are less likely to ignore that than if you complain.

OP, you can go down this route, but you have to complain to Springcoin first and follow their complaints procedure.

IF you're not satisfied with their final response, then go through with speaking to FOS.

  • The FOS will help you put it together and I believe send it for you.

This then gives the company 8 weeks to respond. Then you can escalate with FOS.

But, if it's on FOS headed paper, it will likely be treated more seriously than from joe blogs.

Yes you can ask the FOS to write for you now. Should get Springcoin to pay attention. A lot of these more scummy PDL companies just ignore paperwork from stepchange and will just keep pretending they never got it unless you force them via some other way.

  • Hi Rooster,

I am sorry to hear that you are still having hassle from SpringCoin!

Get talking to FOS now - you have your letter from a couple of weeks ago as evidence that you consider the constant calls harassment and SpringCoin quite frankly deserve a good kick up the ****

Given the circumstances, I feel that FOS will be happy to look into the case given the correspondence to date.

Also, please remember that the calls are a rather unsavory tactic to try to wear you down and get you treat your other creditors unfairly by agreeing to give SprinCoin more than you can afford.

You are - of course - are going to be treating everybody fairly by only giving SpringCoin the amount set by Stepchange and not a penny more or less. No number of phone calls or other harassment tactics will change that... :)

Just another thought - do you have any way of blocking their number? You don't have to speak to them if you dont want to...

A good point raised here, OP.

You can call SpringCoin and request that ALL BUT ONE forms of contact be removed from their system.

Let them keep your postal address and delete all telephone numbers they may have.

This allows them to keep in contact (if needed) whilst slowing down the amount of times they contact you.

  • Have you thought to change your number or you can get a telephone which blocks unwanted calls, you can buy them from Argos at a very reasonable price.

However, the FOS wont do nothing, I went with them for 2 separate complaints and was stitched up.

The FOS will always side with the other party saying they haven't done nothing wrong.
