Ford Radio Unlock

Hello Folks

Wifes car has Ford 6000 CD head unit but its been locked out (Locked 13). I actually have the 4 digit code, but i need the unit reset. Without going to a Ford dealer and paying loads do you know anyone who can do this. Im based in Bangor or Antrim area

Will ford really charge loads? Peugeot dont for example

Otherwise i recall there are a couple of people who advertise in autotrader

Peugeot in Ards wanted £35 for giving me the code of my uncles 206 which he bought NEW !
Ford radios can be decoded off the net for free with the right software ... google it as I no longer have it after having a hard drive failure at Christmas ... sorry

The wee electronics shop on Great Victoria Street decodes car radios . Not sure what they charge .

Try ford forums on the web....there is always someone who has the cd that generates the code from the SN number...chap on the forum below helped me out about a year or two back

Code entry will not be possible, and the unit will need to be electronically decoded by a car radio servicing specialist.When you reach LOCKED 13 or LOCKED 3 the stereo will now Lock permanently. Once it has reached LOCKED 13 or LOCKED 3, this is now beyond the scope of the Ford Main Dealers and most of the professional Decoders, and they will tell you that the unit is now scrap as they do not have the programming capability to recover it.
