I have had Tassimo and Dolce Gusto machines, the drinks you can get with the Dolce Gusto are way superior to Tassimo.I have the manual machine like this one on offer, not a good idea, next time I will be sure to get a play and select model.

I've also had both and gave DS the Dolce Gusto as we all think the Tassimo drinks are superior!

Excuse my ignorance on this subject but what does 'play and select mean'?

    Thanks

Play and select automatically puts the correct amount of water into the cup for the drink. The Dolce Gusto I had first was manual, you switched it on, got water and turned it off when the mug was full. The Tassimo I have now knows exactly how much water each drink requires and dispenses exactly that amount to make the perfect drink.

Thanks for that John lewis sold out so got one at debenhams then realised I should really get the play one so ordered that 😁 any suggestions on best place to buy the coffee x Tia

Costco sell some of the pods at between 25 - 30% cheaper than in the supermarkets. You need to buy a pack of three boxes though but then it's worth it for the saving.

The tassimo uses a barcode reader and each pod has a specific barcode on it for that drink.
