Calling all gamers.
I've been tasked by 'er indoors to sell the young 'uns XBOX360 after the little so and so decided to move to Playstation after all these years but I haven't got a clue what they're worth.
It's an XBOX 360 60GB with an extra 13GB memory board,28 of the top games ( bloody hell that must have cost me a fortune over the years ! ), a WIFI adapter and two consoles with all the usual connection and power gubbins.
I'll try putting it up in my local supermarket notice board first and then online but like most non-gamers I haven't a clue about these things so realistically what do you reckon is a ballpark price. I don't want to make a fortune just some space in my house.
Thanks.

My OH is looking for a second hand Xbox360 on ebay, and he says they are all going for a minimum of about £70 (plus postage).0

Just look in ebay completed listings for an idea.
I just saw a smaller version 360 for £55 on Facebook0 -
I would say Xbox 360 with 2 controllers and Wifi adaptor all leads etc will go for £40-£70 (Depend on condition)
If you add all your games etc you should Get £120-£200 (Depends on the game)0 -

Yours is the earlier type XBOX, being the 60GB model.
For comparison i just today bought one the same as yours, two controllers, a KINECT headset and half a dozen games for £45 but that was particularly cheap
I'd say your bundle could make approx £120
You could maybe get a bit more by selling any extra controllers separately (allow £3.00 for postage), and the wireless adapter separately (again probably £3.00 postage. Sell the console with one controller at least though. The controllers generally make £12 each. As will the wireless adapter.
Personally, stick it on ebay, take good pics, good description, list out all the games and put it on an auction ending Sunday evening around 19:00 to 20:00.
And dont forget ebay / paypal are thieves so you'll lose approx 8% of the overall selling price including postage to ebay fees, and a further 4% approx to paypal fees.
Oh, one thing, postage is pricey if you use Royal Mail - its going to be at least £12.50. I'd recommend MyHermes who'll do it for £6.29 signed for.0 -

This is good advice from an experienced eBayer. I 2nd it and suggest you follow it. GO TO AN EFFORT WITH THE PICTURES.
If the games are newish, then list them separately. If they are oldish, bundle them, because they are worth very little.

One thing you might want to try is to check out the following sites
https://www.webuygames.co.uk
https://www.game.co.uk
https://www.musicmagpie.co.uk
and plug in the ISBN numbers from the backs of the games and see who will give you the most for each game. Both webuygames and musicmagpie you simply package them up and they pay for postage.
With GAME, they will give you a cash price for in store OR a "trade in" price for the games. If you are planning on buying a PS4 anyway, you could get the trade in value put onto a gift card until the rest of the stuff sells.
ALSO, if you use this link
https://img.game.co.uk/hub/images/Tradein2014/PDFs/Digital-Trade-In-Bag.pdf#bannerLink01
You'll get an extra £1 per game trade in and as you have 28 games thats potentially an extra £28. :money:
Do all of the above and you will most likely end up with more for the games, than if you sold them separately and paid fees and postage on them, which in turn is more than selling them bundled.
The very latest games are worth selling separately though - Fifa 15 makes around £20 on ebay, and GTA 5 around £14-15. All those trade in sites will only give you half that.
FIFA 14 still commands a reasonable price, but any FIFA before that is only worth a few pence - unless you use the Goody Bag trick above.0 -
It depends on what your definition of the "top games" are - plenty of people have unrealistic notion of the value of them!
Console I'd say between £50-75 - personally I wouldn't pay the top price but you never know, someone might. With the games it depends, the only FIFA that will draw more than a fiver will be FIFA 15 or FIFA Street, anything older than FIFA 13 you'll be lucky to get more than a pound for. Again if it were me, not knowing the games I'd say a bundle priced at £120-140 and expecting around £100 would be reasonable unless you're talking GTA 5, Advanced Warefare at which point I'd be looking at getting £20 for AW & £10 for GTA 5.
General rule of thumb is you can see the trade in prices online, use those & don't get greedy, but ultimately it may be simpler just to take them to a retailer & cash them in.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -

+1
The amount of times i see people advertising a "massive bundle" of games and its Fifa 15, Fifa 14, Fifa 13, Fifa 12, Fifa 11, Fifa 10, etc, etc. I've seen one guy with them going back to Fifa 07! :eek:0 -
if you have facebook join some selling groups , better chance of selling on the and getting a bit more and you keep all the money as against ebay"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0
