Just noticed in the last few days that I have been blocked on Twitter by several compers. I have no idea why ? Is there something somebody isn't telling me. ??
I'm daisyduck123 if anyone can shed any light on this.
I'm quite happy for people to look on my page for comps if you want to follow me.

I don't know, but I like your garden figurine (if that's you) so I'm following you.

I've been blocked by one particular comper too.
I just ignore. There's a few lovely compers that I do follow/share comps with. Much nicer, than the stroppy one that blocked me!0 -
If I were you I'd be proud that I even knew if someone had blocked me or untwittered me or whatever it is! Anyway - I've followed you now0

Aww thanks everyone.
Yes the garden fairie in the snow is mine. Got her in Heartbeat country when we visited.
I'd only noticed I was blocked by one of them when I tried and was unable to enter a comp (posted on here and run by a comper)
Over it now.. I just got a little paranoid that I'd committed some heinous comping crime and didn't know anything about it :eek:0 -
Have you been RTing other comper's posts as some people get really uppity about it.
I don't mind people RTing mine as long as they follow me.
I'm @VickiStapley if anyone wants to follow me. :A0 -

Why do compers RT other comper's comp tweets?? Is it just another way to get another RT in by those types that RT the same comp endlessly???0 -

I have a few Twitter friends where we RT each others posts if we see a good comp we've missed. I always find the original post to RT personally but I know some people don't.
I know that some people have pinned posts asking people not to RT their posts, I've even seen people running their own comp asking you to just RT their comp not any they've RTed. I've also seen people post that they will block people for RTing their posts.
I wondered whether that was why the op had been blocked.0 -

No.. definitely not. I always click on the tweet and go to the promotors page and RT from there.
I often see things that have been missed and other relevant posts doing it that way.0 -
I know that there is one comper who regularly runs her own competitions and if you unfollow her as soon as one of her competitions has ended, you will find she has blocked you if you try to follow her again when she runs another. Here is her post about it.

Twitter doesn't work like Facebook. It's not about friends and passive aggression through blocking. I've been using it since 2008 and I think you are possibly taking it too personally. It's more like the ticker on the bottom of news with SMS messaging bolted on.
That user may rather just stay slightly anonymous and not use it too socially. Or keep the comping people away from their professional life. Or simply for a laugh. Or be quietly building world domination.
I would not worry in the least people, and build your own tribes in whatever social network you use the way you want to. Other people will do it their way. When methods clash it's natural to try to understand why. Like you hurt their feelings or something. Stop it. It's the Wild West out there with few rules. Many many things will make little sense. ESPECIALLY other people.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0
