Mortgage on house with spray insulation

We have just bought a house with spray insulation. When viewing it we were impressed with it and didn't know they was any issues with it. Our survey was done last week and the surveyor pointed the insulation out to our mortgage company, the company are now saying they don't know whether to secure the mortgage :-( Has anyone else had problems like this? Or know mortgage companies that secure against houses with spray insulation?

Never come across it in properties so never had to query it, but its not something im aware of as a potential issue.

Usually they would refer to the surveyor for their advice or ask for a more detailed report to be carried out.

Have you got any information on the insulation you can provide to the underwriter? Anything that shows it as being more beneficial? (ideally in a newspaper rather than sales bumpf) on top of any sales bumpf.
