Hi all

I'm about to move house and now maybe, keep my existing mortgage, same amount, same lender (stroudnswindon) same rate etc.
But,,,, they want to charge me a mortgage discharge fee of 130 pounds and also a deeds transfer fee of 125 pounds. They state I'm moving the product not the mortgage even though my mortgage is portable, they insist I have to redeem my existing mortgage and take out a new one against the new house, how is that portable ???
