Mattress recommendations? [UPDATED]

I personally avoid any metal coils in the matress.
You can google it to read more. I have just taken the below from Institute for Geopathology
Yes, it is proclaimed that Coil Spring Mattresses are the best there are! They are stated to be the best to fully supports the sleeper’s body weight and adjust to the body's shape and are even promoted and endorsed by many orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists.
- If you still believe THIS, which is true never the less, but somehow the most important information was not communicated and therefore you should definitely read this article! I would have to actually call it an ''antenna and amplifier with an attached resonating circuit''. Why this is the case I will describe as follows.
Yet another complicating factor to your HEALTH - believe it or not- is the use of a coil spring mattress, as this will work like an amplifier of various electro magnetic fields and radiation (EMF/EMR) and also Geopathic Zones. - This is especially true - and aggravating the problems - when you are also using an electric blanket, as the electric energy is directly transferred to into the mattress, which is then amplifying the electrical field and radiation resonating at the mains frequency of 50Hz/60Hz depending of the country.0 -

The mattress was good at first. However, it's not even 30 days and it's got a dip in the middle, so I doubt it will last very long.0 -
Has anyone had an experience with the Airsprung mattress brand especially the Hush and Lyon brands?0

Agreed Littly_Kitty, mattress buying is massive confusing.
Here is my take on the general consensus:
- Open coil mattresses are cheap and nasty and should only be considered if you can't afford anything else.
- Pocket sprung mattresses are the most popular. They feel familiar and there is a huge choice. They gather dust though.
- Memory foam mattresses provide consistent support and are good for allergies, but lots of people don't like the sinking feeling of memory foam.
Broadly speaking you get what you pay for. If you want a pocket sprung mattress I would want at least 1000 springs if I was light or somewhere nearer to 2000 for someone heavier. Memory foam mattresses are made of layers, so look at how thick the top layer of memory foam is.
It's important to get a mattress which is the right firmness for your build. Lighter people need softer mattresses so that they are supported sufficiently to give them a straight spring. Heavier people need a firmer mattress.
Some ideas to start of award winning mattresses etc.0 -
Also look at Eve mattresses. There is another (similar) one too but I can't remember the name.
Dreams recommend you replace every 8 years.
You should look at going to there, and Bensons for Beds to see what advice they give. It'll be at least half right.0 -
I would like a mattress (any mattress) without bugs.0
