Wow, you are bringing up 7 children on your own and still have time to be a student nurse :T I love the way you randomly come across such amazing people on this forum

The gas and electricity look a bit high, but I suppose you are living in quite a big house given the size of your family, so this might not be the case?0 -
Water, gas and electricity seem high.
Are you on a water meter?
Check U-Switch for a better deal on gas and electricity.
No details listed for the debts. I suggest you list them, so people can advise on the best way to deal with them.
Are all the children under working age?0 -

I think it's possible to get your water rates capped if you are receiving benefits and have at least 3 children under 19. Please check and see if you qualify:

I've added all my income together, ex pays no child maintenance and i'm sick to death of chasing it- he flits between JSA and part time work and is now registered at college so apparently the CSA cant touch his money as he is a registered student.Hi does your ex pay child maintenance? have you counted this? We did discuss this at our last mediation and he just says he cant afford it and refuses to give a SOA to them, not that it makes a difference as it just gets referred back to CSA to look into and they claim they cant help me while he is at college.
The annoying thing is that most of the debt was racked up by him and he has left it all to me to pay off.:happyhear Single Mummy to 7 beautiful kids, :coffee:Snowballing through life, just one day at a time!

its mostly a HSBC loan- solely in my name (i know- stupid stupid woman!!!!)
tax credits overpayment as ex didn't send back ANY of the info they requested as we are 'jointly responsible and liable for the full outstanding amount'. he wont pay his half so it looks like its down to me.
the rest is mobile phone bill and a few cc.:happyhear Single Mummy to 7 beautiful kids, :coffee:Snowballing through life, just one day at a time!

If it's consumer debt (loans, Credit Cards etc.), rather than Rent, Council Tax, Utilities etc., then you aren't liable for the debts, if he took them out on his own.the rest is mobile phone bill and a few cc.
As above, if the mobile phone bill and CCs are in his name only, you aren't liable for them.0 -

Ah sorry sounds like my ex, we split up 11 years ago, doesn't pay a penny. CSA can't help as when they finally did start taking it from his wages, he quit his job and went self employed, grr I've given up xxPay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2023 #59 £7008 Paid £570 Owing £6438 #1 H1 £151, #2 H2 £100, #3 O £200, #4 M £1500, #5 Z £295, #6 C1 £340, #7 L £1084, #8 N £840, #9 C2 £19300
