Hi - I have recently moved house and can't watch TV3 in the new place - its only about 0.5miles from old house where I had great TV3 reception.

I have re-tuned the tv but can't pick it up.

Any ideas about what else I could try?

Thanks

have you got an aerial to pick up TV3
TV3 is not available on the Freeview platform in Northern Ireland but is available via overspill from the
    Republic.

    Hi,
Have you done a search through all your channels (the high up numbers, 800s, 900s)? I know that probably sounds stupid, but I was wondering where TV3 had gone on our tvs on Sunday as I was pretty sure we had all the saorview channels. For some reason I had moved the other 'rte' channels but not TV3 and found it on 906?!

The other thing is you might just have moved enough that you're not in the over-spill area. From N.I freeview only RTE1, RTE2 and TG4 are available I think. But if you're picking up a good signal from one of the southern transmitters you should get everything.

There is a coverage checker fro Saorview at
    http://www.saorview.ie/get-saorview/make-the-switch/coverage-map/

You can put in your postcode. Select 'show coverage'. It'll draw a straight line from the appropriate saorview transmitter, so you can get an idea of how close to the coverage region you are. Saying that...... supposedly I'm just out of the coverage area!!

You might have just moved enough to not be able to pick up TV3.... compare your last house position and your new position to the saorview position.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Are you 100% sure that your TV is connected to the 'RTE' aerial and not the 'northern' one? And that it is tuning to an RTE transmitter? How do you know?
If you're getting the other RTE stations, I'd suggest they're coming from the north - they'll cut out for certain football matches etc if from the north, and they won't if from the south.
