Hey all,
Would appreciate your thoughts if you have a second. This afternoon me and the missus have scheduled in a 'Money MOT' - neither of us is really looking forward to it as it might mean 'fessing up to a lot of unnecessary spending, but it has to be done!
I'm looking for any advice as to what would be useful to go through, so far:
Cheers all

- Debts:eek:
- Incomings / outgoings
- Budgeting
- Saving

Hi
We do this every so often. It generally takes the form of what we would like to be doing (life wise)in a few years time eg kids, new house, trip around the world (i wish!) etc and then working out what would have to change with our finances in order to achieve it.
We found this concentrates both our minds re mindless spending much more because we can see a particular aim for being good with the money.
Also makes the conversation much more fun!!!!0 -
Money making always features in our mot -chats. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
