Why does it need to have one? If I stop and warn someone about their speed, or their proximity to the car in front, or lights out at night, etc etc, that is recorded in my pocket book, nowhere else.
That was not the case in this particular incident. To be honest, I'm getting tired of you trying to reduce people's integrity to the standards that your obviously comfortable with. PM me if you want more on this, but I'm bored of your anti antics. I already told you this when you were Sgt Pepper.
But you have no integrity. You claim it doesn't matter whether the police tell the truth or not. Obviously it does matter and to state it doesn't is to bring the police service into disrepute.
I find it difficult to believe that a real police officer would make such claims on a public forum.0 -
Boolean operators not your strong point?
"Has an offence been committed?" AND "Am I police?" = "Do I deal with it?"
N AND N = N
N AND Y = N
Y AND N = N
Y AND Y = Y
I`m sorry , can we come back to this on Monday , my brain hurtsNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

This is the incident itself, as prepared yesterday for posting to Facebook.
I'll post 'part 2' later; it's probably better to provide the incident itself first otherwise discussion will be all over the bloody shop!
To explain things: I'm going straight on in lane 1, which is for left turns or straight on. Lane 2 is ahead only. Just before the car comes into view I'm already moving to the left, this is because I've started to take evasive action. I then proceed left to pursue them.0 -
The starting location (satellite confirms road markings) is:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/52%C2%B011%2718.1%22N+2%C2%B013%2753.5%22W/@52.188367,-2.231542,141m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0?hl=en
I'll let everyone absorb that while I go to the pub...0 -
Straight away, from the very first frame, (AIUI) it'd not be admissible as evidence - because the date and time aren't set.
Secondly - if you were going straight on, why on earth were you at the left of L1, rather than between L1 and L2? I didn't read your text until after seeing the vid - and assumed you were going left from your road positioning.
Yes, the guy in the red car was diving across a bit smartly - you say "wrong lane", but that's not visible in the video - it's definitely not the red 206 that was visible stationary in L2 at the lights - so did he come from L2, or was he in L1 and giving you plenty of space as he passed, assuming you were both going left, only for that space to disappear as you headed straight on?0 -
Yeah they proper cut you up. I'd be angry. Not saying the taking of keys is right wrong, but that's definitely an adrenaline rush near miss.0

Looks like they assumed you were turning left and decided to overtake you. !!!!! driving really.0

Which goes back to the comment I made much much earlier about defensive driving, yes the bloke in the red car was 75% to blame, but if your road positioning was better this wouldn't have happened.0 -
As my description says, I have moved left because I have started to take evasive action before they come into the picture. They come along side, very close for a few moments (hence my audibly going "SHHH.....") then bolt across, foot to the floor (as possibly confirmed by their exhaust). So if there's anything wrong with my position, it's because I'm already avoiding a collision.0

Surely as a vulnerable road user who's already being crowded and had to "take evasive action" by moving to the left the sensible defensive choice would have been to take the left turn regardless of where you wanted to go.
Not least because, by moving left when you did, you may well have reinforced a mistaken belief by him that you were turning left - only to carry on into the side of him like a bloody lunatic when he takes the turn into the outside lane giving you plenty of room (as he may well have seen the situation)
You're small and fragile, he's big and solid, trying to force your way on after you've already felt threatened by him pushing you left is almost as suicidal as opening his door and pulling his keys when you catch up with him!0
