Natwest AIP

Hi,

Im wanting some advice on what a Natwest AIP actually involves so far as credit search is concerned.

I only ask as im waiting for some credit card balance's which have been paid in full and a mortgage search done in error to be removed from my report, im informed they should be gone in around 5 days.

I want to know if I should hold off doing the AIP while these drop off, or does the AIP not go as far as this i.e just check for CCJ's, missed payments etc thus no harm in getting the AIP.

Can anyone help?

Thankyou

We have seen on previous posts that your attempt to obtain a mortgage direct from Barclays was unsuccessful, now you are considering Nat West - without, it appears the input of a mortgage broker.

Is a mortgage broker not assisting you?

I believe BArclays was not accepted due to Mortgage advisor error, as discussed previously as i was passed on my real circumstances. I dont think i will ever know why she did what she did but it really messed things up.

L & C broker is confident i can be placed with Natwest but im just considering when to make the application as my O.P.

Feel free to respond ask your broker, but any advice, as ever, is appreciated.

Barclays have agreed to remove the search from my credit file, and broker assures me as long as i can confirm the dept will be repaid with equity it wont cause any problems.

AIP is complete but asked to hold it back until Monday before it is submitted.

Does anyone know if a natwest AIP is usually quite solid?

    It depends how it's done.

NatWest website is just a basic affordability check with soft search at most. NatWest DIP done on MTE is fully scored.

Good news, passed the AIP which i think was a full search, credit was fine and offered me 1k under what i was asking which isnt a problem.

How long will it take now to do a full application, is likely i will be waiting a few days for the outcome?

I think you're looking at a few weeks for full application. As long as you have a property that you have offered on.

I have had our offer accepted on a property, thankyou.

Is a full MTE accept usually a good indication do you know?
