fairclaire, what a difficult thing for you to deal with. Having had a lot of death recently and depression and suicide in my family I really sympathise with you and all the things you are feeling. Like everyone else I can't give any good advice but I would say that the guilt you are feeling you do not deserve. You've stuck by him and done everything you can to help him get through his depression. You've given your children the best and most stable life you can. Don't be hard on yourself, it's not your fault. Xx

Hugs to you and your family.
Hopefully your o/h will make a quick recovery physically and get the help he needs mentally.

I've not been posting lately because life has been pretty terrible :(

Last Friday my OH decided that life would be ended better by drinking a bottle of weedkiller. Needless to say he woke up in hospital and not in heaven as he hoped and we are climbing the mountain again.

My range of emotions this week:

Sadness - how can someone feel that utterly desperate?

Guilt - Did I not notice something? How did it come to this? Why is my loved one laid on a life support machine? I sent him away :(

Anger - How could he do this to me and our children? We love him every day and he wants to leave us :(

Despair- Are we really that bad? I have spent 7 years climbing the mountain that is his depression and today I'm back at the bottom.

Love - I love him and I never want him to leave this earth feeling unloved.

Desperation - I SO want him to be ok in the desperate hope he feels happiness again one day

Im struggling folks :( How do you deal with it and keep going? I watched the 'young wives ' programme on ITV tonight. I felt for them awfully but at least they are free to build a new life. No disrespect to what they've lost but I have lost everything and it's still here

We need a tissue glitch :p:o

I haven't spoken to my husband in a week. He was in an induced coma the last time I saw him.

I have had loads of PMs too many to answer. I am seeing him tomorrow and we will see what happens. Wish me luck because I feel I will need it. Thanks to all who have shown concern :A

FC I'm so sorry you're having to cope with such a nightmare. Thoughts are with you.
