That one I had the other day, when they had some cakes, e.g. Lemon Sponges, going 89p vs Morries N/A. Doesn't mean they didn't overpay. I'm sometimes surprised by people that shop mainly at A, that appear not to have a clue of how cheaper some things are elsewhere and how the standard A prices or standard A offers, for example £1 round pounds, are expensive. Other places, like T, go onto sub-£1 half price offers - and then best bought in A for a comparison. For example, the ICB butters - I'm concerned I may have bought one too many, due to the dates on them:o:o, but may be okay due to the short time it takes people round here to get through them:( - not to worry, I could let another relative have a tub if it turns out we still have too much nearer to the BB dates and they could buy a tub from me. They are one of the people that seems to think that £2 for a 1Kg tub is a good price, because that's the normal offer prices that they see A go to and assume that A is generally a cheaper supermarket. I may sell a tub onto them for £2. I got it for 10% off £1.37:rotfl:.

Yes, people not necessarily getting good prices on sub-£1 cakes at 89p. There are some Memory Lane cakes, which include Lemon Sponge, in M at 69p. They never make my lists as even that too expensive for me, and of course should be got onto whoopsies. It was due to S/P Raspberry at 58p that no cakes in excess of that price ever reach my lists but, even then, they are largely just tempting items that see people buying them and just wasting money - you don't need cakes to survive and I don't see any need to put them onto any list as just another thing to buy and merely losing money!

Are you a girl? I thought of Patty when I saw this and I know she's a lady too - what's wrong with soap and water? "Exfoliating" wipes I ask you! "Exfoliating" - seems to me to be a marketing thing, in order to get people to spend money on a product with a fancy name when any ordinary product would do the same job just as well. IMO.

Am I a girl? Well I'm a 44 year old woman with the mental age of a teenage girl if that counts :D

Soap is very drying and should never be used on the face  with the exception of PH neutral soaps. I don't like to use a washable cloth because I'd only use it once and then have to wash it because germs breed in wet environments, therefore the wipes work out cheaper than the cost of washing cloths, not to mention the time involved  Also I like to have these wipes by my bed because I could never get into the routine of cleansing and moisturising before bed, I'd usually forget then couldn't be bothered getting out of bed :o Now I keep all my toiletries by my bed so I've no excuse :D

Anyway on getting home and looking at the delivery note the your shopping list prices are blank and the cost of shopping / total cost if shopping etc all say 0.00

Sorry, I don't know (neither will anyone else I suspect as A can update before then), but if you haven't had a HD or C&C before, don't forget to register through TCB or Quidco - TCB are offering £15.75 for first time orders above £75, £5.77 for orders over £25. Q offering £10 for order over £50, £5.50 £25-£49.99.

Thanks for the advice. I have an account with A already though. I might give Simple a go to try it out. I'm still testing out how it all works. I will post on here if I manage a C&C tomorrow. Thanks again.

Yes indeed, but still doesn't mean they didn't overpay and doesn't mean they got a good deal. That one for instance - the Caramel egg - a massive rip off!:rotfl:

Also the White Potatoes overpaid, and the Carrots, Cauli & Broccoli at £1.50 vs N/A an overpayment. Should be bought in 2s, I believe, vs S 2 for £2. Although - when you have to buy more and compare against an mbuy, I'm not sure whether that is moneysaving. Nonetheless, as a freezer item it wouldn't do harm to store and, I'm sure, then you aren't buying another pack again at another point later and do save in that way (hopefully buying half as often).

In fact, that... I've asterisked around it... should not that combo be vs S at 2 for £2? They paid a total of £2.48.

The Special K bars totally ridiculous (to have 3 appearing at £1 each mbuy price). The 4 pack chocolates (I don't even go for comparisons vs £1 elsewhere anymore) again too expensive - would be cheaper to compare vs those £1 and therefore get them for 90p. Or cheaper still to buy the 92p with 10% off if you have an A colleague discount card. The Colmans should be compared when others are on 50p offers - 74p for that is too expensive - or preferably perhaps have one missing and an mbuy glitch. Need I go on? In short, despite being cheapest, they've still paid way too much:eek::rotfl:.

...The Mug Shots ridiculous, the Herbal Essences should only be bought when glitched, small tins of spaghetti that are expensive, a slight overpayment on the 10 pack of bananas (13.5p for a banana is a little too much:eek:)... otherwise it doesn't make sense to buy when they are cheapest but instead when they are more expensive and to compare against cheaper prices elsewhere!

Diet Coke 500ml for more expensive than even straight r'back offer prices at other times on [Strike]2L[/Strike] 1.75:(L:rotfl:.

I'm with you on that, like Savvy I thought it was a marketing ploy, but it really does help. I use tea tree face wipes every day and it's really cleared up skin (I get a lot of eczema on my face).
