Thought this was funny. Just in M in the biscuit aisle, guy in a shirt and tie with a clip board making notes as he was walking along the shelves. He stopped and stood next to me as I was choosing my biscuits. I asked him if he had anymore of the crinkle butter.
Him - "no but we have had to put an order in for the fox's, we seem to have had a run on them, we have more coming in tomorrow. It's strange they weren't moving much at first and now we can't sell enough"
Me biting my cheek trying not to laugh - "really, well maybe it has something to do with the 500 points offer on them"
Him - "yes these points offers are great, if you buy 10 that's equivalent to £5. I like these points deals, gives a bit of variety to shopping"
Me under my breath oh pleeeeease- "yes the points do add up"
Him - "I see you're buying quite a few"
Me - "yes I run the tea club at work" (Pinocchio nose at this point)
Him - "well you may as well earn something for yourself from getting them, after all you've had to come and buy them"

I was wondering how T's chose which ones to shut;)I suppose it could be a number of reasons.I am pleased it is not the one my dear friends Sister works in as I know she does not like change bless her and would find it difficult to settle in a new job but feel for the peeps about to lose their jobs in this climate:(0 -
Well, we have 3 Expresses within approximate 1 1/2 miles and none of them are closing! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Right. It's still windy and raining here so I've decided against going out for another biscuit shop. I will have to hope it's still going tomorrow when I actually do have to go out.
So, I'll stick the kettle on. Anyone for a cuppa? :coffee:“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -

Can better that. I have a T exp about a mile away, it's been there a few years.....2 years monthe ago T built a superstore 150 yards away yet they both still continue and the Exp isn't going to close.0 -
Hi guys,
I am just wondering if I'm getting the hang of this or not
So, assuming I work my shop so the whole thing is not 10% cheaper than Morrisons, it will calculate the amount I get back for items that are included in the APG?
From the list on the first page, for example,
Fairy Non Biological Laundry Liquid - 40 Washes (2L)£6.00 £6.00
Does this mean I would get £5.40 back for that item?
And is the big list on the first page of items that are always in the APG?
Sorry for being such a newbie0 -
If you had invested just $1000 in 1997 in Apple shares, you would now have shares worth $32,949. Not bad for 18Years - averaging over 20% return annually (plus your dividend)0

Collect 1,000 Nectar points with Argos
Anyone had their points? I checked my balance online this morning and couldn't see them, so I clicked on the Contact Us (from the bottom of the email) and raised a query - should get a response within 24 hours so they tell me!
I've had this reply to my query
"There is a slight delay in adding the points for this promotion. Please wait for 24 hours and the points will be credited to your account."0 -
