I'm serious this time!

Options
Hi all, I have had a DMP before - failed at it miserably and have just been getting by and getting into more debt since it was cancelled.

I have just called all of my creditors, got balances and account numbers and sent it all off to Stepchange.

Total debt was £13500! Way more than I thought I had, i have been burying it for far too long!

So DMP set at £422 per month. DFD September 2017 :)

The reason for this new start is we had a baby boy born on the 13th December and I want to be able to do the best for him.

My goals:
  • Stick to DMP - Pay off 5k a year
  • Lose weight
  • Save money on groceries

Wish me luck!

  • Good day yesterday, only bought dinner and that was cheap.

Stashed £6 away in the savings after skimming the bank account.

DMP all sent off so just waiting for the letter to say its all ready :)

So happy to have this all sorted out again, it's like a massive weight has been taken off. I can start to enjoy life again with my new family!

  • Well done for getting it all sorted, must be a big relief.

Remember to take advantage of the tax free savings accounts for children now you have a child. Some pay upto 6%. That's alot better than ISA's these days.

I hope all goes well and you stick to your DMP.
