I'm serious this time!

Hi all, I have had a DMP before - failed at it miserably and have just been getting by and getting into more debt since it was cancelled.

I have just called all of my creditors, got balances and account numbers and sent it all off to Stepchange.

Total debt was £13500! Way more than I thought I had, i have been burying it for far too long!

So DMP set at £422 per month. DFD September 2017

The reason for this new start is we had a baby boy born on the 13th December and I want to be able to do the best for him.

My goals:

• Stick to DMP - Pay off 5k a year
• Lose weight
• Save money on groceries

Good day yesterday, only bought dinner and that was cheap.

Stashed £6 away in the savings after skimming the bank account.

DMP all sent off so just waiting for the letter to say its all ready

So happy to have this all sorted out again, it's like a massive weight has been taken off. I can start to enjoy life again with my new family!

Well done for getting it all sorted, must be a big relief.

Remember to take advantage of the tax free savings accounts for children now you have a child. Some pay upto 6%. That's alot better than ISA's these days.

Sold 3 items on eBay yesterday, grand total of £45 taking postage and fees away. Withdrew and put straight to savings.

And a £250 bonus for working some time over Xmas that I had forgot about.

Put £50 into savings , the other £200 is going on the car insurance deposit next month.

also had a free £5 sainsburys gift card through for complaint and also a £10 starbucks gift card for complaint.

Today is a good day!
