Halifax Mortgage Valuation

Hi all,
I'm in the middle of my mortgage application with Halifax. The payment for the valuation went out on Tuesday but the estate agent hasn't heard from anyone regarding the valuation yet. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes from payment date for the valuation to get booked?
Also, if the payment has been taken, does that mean the chances of it being approved are pretty good?
Thanks so much, going out of my mind here!!

Hi.
The payment is for the service of valuing the property, not the outcome of the mortgage or results of the valuation.
No idea on timings i'm afraid, but it has only been 2 days. The are many more days ahead in the process, but try not to worry.

I seem to remember about a week.
It might also depend on what kind of valuation. I have in mind that on some basic ones, they might not actually visit the property at all, they just check values, maybe have a surveyor do a drive-by to check the place has a roof, and pocket the fee.0 -
Thanks for the replies guys!0

When we applied for our mortgage with Halifax, they booked the valuation the same day as our broker submitted the application, however, we had the fee added to the mortgage rather than paying it upfront so not sure if this made a difference.0

The first thing they do is take the payment.
