with Clerical medical, 25 yrs with profits was taken to cover £22,500 mortgage, we actually brought mortgage down to £20k when we had a small legacy.
At this stage of the game is it worth looking into selling or surrendering...or is it so close to the end now, we may be mad to miss out on the terminal bonus.
Any idea where to find how CM are performing at the moment.
Thanks

No reason why not. See if you can get any quotes here:
www.apmm.org....or is it so close to the end now, we may be mad to miss out on the terminal bonus.Suggest you call up and get a surrender value, also asking how much of that is made up of the accrued TB.
The other thing to consider for soeone coming up to maturity is the fact that terminal bonuses at many companies are still falling.

This can lead to the unfortunate situation where you pay in 18 months premiums only to discover that at the end you get the same back as the surrender value 18 months earlier.
In some cases people have received less.Trying to keep it simple...0
