Moving to another mortgage company

I'm currently with Nationwide on a repayment mortgage paying 4.79% interest in a fixed rate which will be expiring soon and when it does I'm going to leave it at the variable rate, so would it be possible to move my debt to another mortgage company? and would the variable rate be different or the same?

If your credit, affordability and loan to value are sufficient, yes you should be able to remortgage to another lender.
The standard variable rate is not usually an option, so a lifetime tracker with no early repayment penalties will give you the same flexibility and probably at a lower rate too.
Why don't you ask Nationwide about its customer retention products as well? These are for existing borrowers not moving home whose current deals are due to end.I am a mortgage broker. I recently changed my Nationwide mortgage for another and got a deal at 1.34% They have deals for existing customers that might be worth looking at.
No fees.
I think the SVR at Nationwide is 3.99% So you will save in any event, but I got my deal with no penalties... So paying less all the wayNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
