Our current fixed rate mortgage is due to end August of this year.
When is the earliest I can secure a new deal?
My current fixed rate deal is with Santander at over 4% so some of the deals at the moment at 2%ish are really good.
I know we don't have a crystal ball but would you recommend to fix at the rates at the moment or go for another product?
We are quite cautious people so have gone for fixed rates most of the time.

Call them 4/5 weeks before you are due to come off the deal.
You can discuss your requirements with the product adviser at Santander, they will run through the rates and fixed term periods for you to make the best and most comfortable decision as no one on here will advise you to go fixed or variable or tracker."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
