Also I need to sort out outlook..... sorry.....
They have set up his email address but it doesn't work, does it need to have my orange settings in it somewhere?Angel

How is his email meant to be set up?
There are a few ways. Connecting to a Microsoft Exchange Server, IMAP, or POP3.
They should have told him which one it is. And also given him server details. For example if POP,he'll have a username, password, POP server, SMTP server, and you create a new account in outlook with all that information...[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

They have one setup on the computer, would I not be able to tell? and would it not need my ISP settings to get out on my internet? Sorry to be so dumb... I am confused...
I tried to send a test email to yahoo account ... it has a microsoft exchange server that failed 'this server is not available' Also pop.orangehome.co.uk failed as it timed out!Angel

intruiging. It would seem like they set it up for an exchange server internal in their network which cant be contacted externally
Guess you need to talk to them to find out the right settings!
As long as its connected to the internet, it should work so long as the mail server settings are correct. Oviously outlook needs to access a mail server to send mail.. nothing to do with your ISP unless your using the email that your ISP gave you[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
