Need advice re form for court

hi there

i have been sent a form by the court to ask me to provide a budget and state how much of my student loan i can pay back each month. i was paying it off but i became a bit erratic with it.

Now they have my old address and i am now at a new address. My old address was my parent's. Someone said to me not to tell them about my new address unless they ask, as it could damage my credit rating at the new address????

what is the best thing to do? I don't understand all this stuff and i don't want to get myself into trouble.

Thanks!

I would just give them your address as they will find out some way or another possibly through your national insurance number, and i guess it will look better if u contact them.

Your credit history is associated with you as a person, not your address. if you want to get credit, you have to list all your previopus addresses anyway. They will check if you were on the electoral roll at those addresses.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Thanks NewMum and RAS.

I have sent the form back and am waiting for a reply. Thanks for your advice!
