SIPP invest in old people's homes?

I predict there's going to be an increase in the need for old people's care homes and I want to invest some of my SIPP in that if I can... are there any large umbrella companies which own lots of OAP homes? Or any trustworthy funds which target the same belief?

Oh yeah, hadn't thought of that!
Though xylophone's first suggestion has a NAV of very close to the current share price which perhaps makes it worth a punt.
It was my mum's idea this, and she's been right before. She 'wondered' if it might be a good idea to invest in delivery firms, about 10 years ago.0 -
PS. Thanks xylophone!0

On the other hand, suppose life expectancy takes an unanticipated leap upwards. Then (i) these homes will, we assume, boom, and (ii) you will probably live long enough to benefit from that. In other words, it might be a form of insurance against you and your cohort living on, and on, and on.
My own guess, though, is that euthanasia will be legalised. What then?Free the dunston one next time too.0 -
It's funny (your post) because it's true0
