Turkey Round in Slow Cooker

I usually cook one of these for me and my girls on a Sunday as it feels like a roast without making too much.

We are off out on Sunday and so I most likely won't be at home at 3.30-4pm in order to put it in the oven.

Would this taste all horrible if I tried doing it in the slow cooker?

Stupid question - is a turkey round just a crown? If so, I can't imagine it wouldn't be any different to putting a whole chicken in the slow cooker, which is delicious!

I put my chickens on low for about 6hrs, on a bed of onions and carrots, with butter in the cavity and on top of the skin with some herbs etc. The skin doesn't go crisp, but the meat is lovely and juicy and just falls apart. You can then whip up a gravy with the juices it leaves behind.
