Ipod Adapter/Charger

Sister in law has just bought her daughter an Ipod Nano for her birthday. As Apple no longer provide a plug/adapter to recharge does anyone know the best place to buy these? Apple charge a fortune. I bought one for my Ipod Video a couple of years back but cannot remember where I got it from. Pretty sure it didn't cost more than 6 or 7 quid

I was looking for one of these myself a couple of weeks ago for my iPod video as I was getting frustrated at having to remember to plug it into the computer all the time to charge it up.

But like you say, all the options I found on the high street were the rip-off £15 to £20+ options.

The best solution I found was to get a USB mains adaptor. This allows you to plug any USB device into a "mains type" plug that you then just plug into the wall socket.

As you can see, these are only a few quid (with P&P included), but have a shop around (or search on ebay) as you may get it even cheaper than this!

Hi Humfer.........When I bought my ipod i was offered, for half original price, a speaker unit which gives excellent sound and is especially useful to take with me when going away, so naturally I took the offer.It didn't occur to me straight away but I soon realised that this unit saved me having to purchase a separate adapter as it charges the ipod when docked within the unit which you plug into a normal electrical socket.

Wilkinsons had a good stock of ipod acessories not long back, including mains chargers. Cant recall the price but Im fairly sure they were under a fiver
