Cash for clothes

Hi,
We've had a huge clear out this weekend dd1&2's clothes, mine and my dh. Also I've got bedding, duvets and pillows. I've heard that I would be wasting my time taking them to a cash for clothes place as you get hardly anything in return.... Any advice please on how to get the best for these before they hit the dump.

We got a total of £64 for the clothes we took to them.
They gave us 60p per kilo and took most of the stuff. They do sort through it.
They will not take underwear, socks, uniform anything with stains or holes etc. They do take shoes, handbags, soft toys and perfume.
Do not think they will take duvets and pillows but it may be different where you are.0 -
Try advertising on Gumtree. You could sell the clothes as a job lot e.g. Womens size x mix of tops & dresses and post a photo. Search Gumtree or ebay for examples on how to list them.
if you can't sell them please take them to a clothing bank or donate them to a charity shop (I donate clothes & other bits I don't think will sell on ebay to charity and they must have sold most or all of them - I use gift aid & get a report of how much money they made).0
