  • Morning all. Lovely and sunny outside but I bet it's freezing cold. This room is still feeling warm due to the remains of last night's fire in the stove.

Have had to lend DD my car for a couple of days as hers is off the road waiting for some work to be done. Will get a lift from DH later as need to return the curtains we bought for the spare room and get a different sized pair. Also need milk and wraps whilst I'm out plus a birthday card for a special birthday.

Chicken fajitas for dinner tonight - I make a right mess eating mine!

    Enjoy your day everyone!
  • A grey morning here, we have just had a raft of forms to fill in from the council to do with OH's condition, 4 pages most of which does not apply to us, what a waste of paper it would be cheaper to ask us to go in for an interview. Hey ho needs must.

Down sizing continues, yesterday OH carried all the photo albums down, I told him not to, now he is moaning his back hurts, tough!! WE started sorting through, my goodness there are a lot, we have a waste paper basket so full its hard to lift, will be putting them in several bags before they go out into the bin. The rest I will copy onto the hard drive from the scanner. Going to do a test run in a moment.

No snow just a heavy frost which does not seem to be lifting at all, no sun.
  • Good morning all.

Very cold here. No snow though. Car was iced over.

Starting low carbing today. Have had eggs for breakfast. Will have a Brie salad for lunch and chicken wings & veg for tea. Kids will have pasta as it's quick as have teacher meeting at 4pm. Dh can have chilli.

Need to Hoover and clean the bathrooms before I go to work. Start work at 12 & will get home after I've picked up,ds2 from school. Then I have to go back out for teacher meeting.

Right, had better get on and do what needs doing.

    Stay warm all

    Love, hugs & spoons x

    Morning all,

A light snow here overnight that was frozen over by the time the men went to work this morning. Its bright and sunny now and the sun is melting the ice. Still blasted cold though. 'Girls' needed to be forcefully ejected this morning as they aint keen on the cold.

A million and one jobs to do today so why am I on here? I ask myself. Cause I'd rather is my answer.

After the weekend ive had I don't really care.:rotfl:

Had a letter from the health authority this morning. My recent 'test' came back normal. That's something to be thankful of.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Hi everyone,

What a busy weekend. Saturday was wedding dress shopping with DD, sis-in-law and a bridesmaid (who is also a fashion designer). It was fun but very difficult to choose because DD is very beautiful and would look good in a sack. It's been narrowed down to 5 in the same place and she's going to take her gay (male) best friend with her for a second viewing. I know which is my favourite (a very untraditional dress) but have told her to choose the one she wants. I wanted to wear silver grey for my wedding but was persuaded not to and it still rankles.

Apart from that I had to go into work today where things are very difficult. I want to help if I can but I'm going to walk away if it gets too stressful and starts to affect my health.

I'm going to sort out the airing cupboard now and then do a bit of quilting to calm me down.

    Have a good day.

Meg is being very good, the only thing is she widdles a bit when someone comes in or she gets over excited. I have tried keeping things calm but am at a bit of a loss really as I've never had a dog do that before. She is only 5 months old so is still a baby. At least our Bissell is getting a good workout :D.
As you say, she's only a baby; hopefully she'll grow out of it.:o Jessie Doodle tends to wee a little bit if she's very excited, too; she went bananas when the franchisee came to collect her to take her home (she lurves him) so we had her greet him outside.:D

    Afternoon all,

Feeling pants today :( Nothing specific just headache and a bit nauseous. I found it a bit noisy at work today and was grateful to be out of there.

I Kondo'd my drawers and DS2's drawers yesterday and have been singing her praises to my work colleague and another friend. I have a feeling they will be sorting their undies as I write this :)

Roast for dinner tonight, looking especially looking forward to the roast parsnips - just love em!

I know what you mean Snoozer I had to tone with pale grey/lilac (hard to describe real colour) bridesmaid dresses. They tried to steer me to towards pale pinks and blues (which are not me) when they banned my favourite bright red or bright yellow ;):D. I settle on the purple which I must admit worked well, but pale isn't me. I got so frustrated at one stage I really didn't want to go!! Never worn it since though, glad I manged to get the Dress & Jacket in the Xmas sales for less than half the JVert price, from Debenh@ms.

Well time is flying by, I have 2 weeks before return to Spain. Jobs not really getting done, cannot seem to apply myself. Did some baking on Saturday, so used up a bit more store cupboard/freezer. Tea cake dough via BM, scones, fruit pie, bake well tarts (to use up LO pastry) bought at Xmas and not used and a chocolate cake. Most back into freezer.:cool::o:o (where is the rolled eyes when you need it). Just popped round to elderly neighbour who is having leg ulcer problems, he is on his own now, though his kids come often, so I took him some pie & custard, to warm up in the Mwave, and one of each of the others. Yesterday I finished the Spider-Man hat for DGtNepjew and did some more on the dog cost for, Skye, trying to get my started things finished.

Hugs, spoons, ect. All round. Take care everyone. DG

Very cold here today.....something like 1c with promises that temperature will go as low as -7 this week, glad I dont need to go out.

Went to annual parish senior citizens party, nice to see some of my contemporaries I only see once a year. OH wouldnt come, he says that he finds it too difficult to hear people, I feel that he would be fine if he made an effort but who am I to say? Had a lovely afternoon, was very tired when I got home.

Made a " sandwich" for breakfast following roughly on one Nigel Slater did on tv last night....he fried sliced greens in butter and added some cooked ham...I used kale and prosciutto....was really nice, mind you he used a lot of butter!

Dinner is gammon, cabbage, carrots and mash...not hungry yet but will enjoy it around 6. Will try not to have a pudding but there are lots of fattening things hanging around so OH may try to be nice to me by giving me something from that area of the kitchen........

Csarina...can sympathise with the form filling, hopefully things will work out soon.

Have just had DD4, DGS2, andBF come to visit, with Bran of course! Must talk to them for a bit, take care everybody, stay warm and safe
